Can you ship to an address other than my billing address?

Basically, no. We will waive this policy for customers who have done frequent business with us but due to the propensity for credit card fraud and the quick liquidity of coins and precious metals, we will not ship orders from new customers to any address other than the billing address of the credit card holder. No exceptions!

What are your shipping charges?

Shipping charges are computed as follows:

Order value up to $100: $5.00.

Order value from $100.01 to $500: $7.00.

Order value above $500 is generally shipped by registered mail at a cost of $15.00.

High value items will normally require additional insurance which can increase the shipping cost. Express mail requests are acceptable at an additional cost of $15 plus insurance.

Shipping charges are added when you complete the check out process. Most orders are shipped via insured mail with delivery confirmation. On occasion, we will ship UPS if appropriate. Shipping fees are non-refundable.

How do I inquire about an order I placed?

If you have any questions or concerns about an order, please email us and be sure to indicate the order number in question, the date you placed the order and your full name. We cannot look up your order with only an email address.

Also please note that we ship all orders via insured mail. We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages. If your package is lost, we will file a claim with the USPS for the value of your items.

If your package and any of its contents are damaged and your order's entire value is $50 or less, then please contact us as indicated above. If the value of the entire order is more than $50, then you must file an insurance claim with the post office. Instructions for filing a claim can be found at the USPS Website.

What is my coin worth?

The number one question we get asked is "How much is my coin worth?" There is no simple answer. The value of any given coin depends on its date, mint mark,  condition and rarity. We cannot (and will not) tell you the value of your coins without actually seeing them and determining these elements. Please do not email us asking us to do so, as we can only give general value ranges without inspection of the coins. Your best bet is to ship your coins to us for a visual inspection and determination of value.

I found a two headed quarter (dime, nickel, penny etc) and I heard it is worth millions. Is this true?

These coins were often made as magician's coins or novelty items and have no numismatic value at all. There have been a few certified cases of double headed or tailed coins but these are far and few between. The odds are your coin is worthless. However, feel free to take your coin to a local dealer to examine.

I have a coin that is an error. It is missing part of the features, or one side is silver and the other golden or copper colored, or it appears to be clipped off or double struck etc.  Is it worth anything?

It could well be. There are people who collect error coins. We do not deal in error coins though and do not keep abreast of what is out there or what they are worth. Click here for some possible help:

Can you tell me about coins that have mint errors?
There has been been a lot of news lately about coins that were minted improperly by the U.S. Mint. Claims are that they're worth $100,000 and more. Don't believe all the hype. If you have a coin that's unusual, you can click here for more information.

We're often asked about "Two Headed Quarters" etc. You'll find that these are not valuable coins and worthless to serious collectors. They were made as magician's coins and available in toy stores.

I heard that the North Carolina (or any other state) quarters are being recalled due to a printing error and that they will be very valuable. Is this true?

NO! These are urban myths and anyone who tells you otherwise is either misinformed or playing with you.

Can you tell me about the rare 1943 penny?

During World War II copper was scarce and all pennies in 1943 were minted in steel. Almost a billion were minted that year so they are not considered rare. However, a few were minted in copper and those are the valuable ones you may hear about. If a magnet picks up your 1943 penny, then it's not rare. If you take it to a local coin shop they might give you up to $1.50 for one in mint condition MS63.

I do not live in the United States. Can you ship to my country?

NO !!! We ship coins to US addresses only and will not ship to other countries.

I tried to make an offer but the system says my Shopping Cart is Empty. What do I do?

We have seen this occur when your PC's memory is used up by other applications. To resolve the problem, either shut down any other applications you may be running and/or reboot your PC. Also be sure that JavaScript is enabled in your browser. Our shopping cart uses JavaScript and will not work without it. If this does not resolve your problem and you are a US customer, you can email us your order and we will send you an e-invoice which you can then pay online.
